- The tools in the Cartography toolbox are designed to produce and refine data to support the production of maps. This includes the creation of annotation and masks, the simplification of features and reduction of their density, the refinement and management of symbolized features, the creation of grids and graticules, and the management of data-driven pages for layout.

- If when designing and outputting any map on the ArcGIS programs, and we notice the data that will appear on the map is somewhat irregular or needs certain improvement and adjustments to appear better, to make the map suitable for output and speed up the map production process, we use the tools inside the mapping toolbox.
اذا عند تصميم وإخراج أي خريطة على برامج الـArcGIS ونلاحظ البيانات التي سَتظهر بالخريطة غير منتظمة نوعا ما او تحتاج لتحسين وضبط معين لتظهر بشكل أفضل، لتجعل الخريطة مناسبة للإخراج و تسريع عملية إنتاج الخرائط نقوم بإستخدام الأدوات الموجودة داخل صندوق أدوات رسم الخرائط.

1. Annotation toolset مجموعة أدوات الشرح
The Annotation toolset contains a collection of tools that allow you to automate your annotation workflow.
تحتوي مجموعة أدوات التعليقات التوضيحية على مجموعة من الأدوات التي تتيح لك أتمتة سير عمل التعليقات التوضيحية.
2. Cartographic Refinement toolset مجموعة أدوات صقل رسم الخرائط
Contains tools to enrich representation symbology by adjusting the alignment and arrangement of symbols and creating bridge and tunnel features.
يحتوي على أدوات لإثراء رموز التمثيل من خلال ضبط محاذاة الرموز وترتيبها وإنشاء ميزات الجسر والنفق.
3. Data Driven Pages toolsetمجموعة أدوات الصفحات المستندة إلى البيانات
Contains tools that create and prepare an index layer for use in data driven pages. The features of an index layer are used to define the extents of multiple pages. One page of output is generated for each feature extent.
يحتوي على أدوات تنشئ طبقة فهرس وتجهزها للاستخدام في الصفحات التي تعتمد على البيانات. تُستخدم ميزات طبقة الفهرس لتحديد نطاقات الصفحات المتعددة. يتم إنشاء صفحة واحدة من الإخراج لكل مدى ميزة.

Contains tools that simplify or refine features for display at smaller scales.

Contains tools to manage feature class representations and representation overrides.
